BEAT FOOD ADDICTION IN 5 STEPS

Hi lovelies,
My previous post was on finding out if you have a food addiction. This post is to show you ways on how to beat this addiction yourself. Naturally the first step is to take the test . You can do this using the food addiction checklist in my previous post. Please note that although these steps have been tried and they have worked for people, however they are not absolute. Please feel free to add any steps that have worked for you in the comments box below. Also note that food addiction is still a serious ailment and if you can't beat it on your own, be sure to see a well trained doctor.

STEP l: TAKE THE FOOD ADDICTION TEST

STEP 2: A COMPULSORY 4-DAY DETOX


During these 4 days,you will need to identify your "triggers" and stay away from them . No matter what addiction you are going through,an abstinence-detox programme is the most crucial step. During these 4 days, you will be required to eat only fruits and vegetables. You can have as much as you want, as this isnt about weightloss. The idea is to get your body to rid itself of toxins from junk treats.
STEP 3:.LEARN TO MAKE YOUR MEALS FR0M SCRATCH.



This step is very important, as it isthe first step in training your body to only take in natural foods and not packaged and refined meals. At this point,say no to any meal you haven't cooked yourself. This would help keep you from snacking on the go or stopping at any fast food restaurant.
STEP 4:MIND-OVER-MOUTH.

Remember that your mouth shouldn't make decisions for you. Do not eat more than three WELL-BALANCED meals a day. Dish meals in bits, and eat slowly so that your MIND can tell your MOUTH when to stop. Snacking between meals can be done with juicy fruits.
STEP 5: KEEP A FOOD JOURNAL

This is a list of all the foods you intend to eat that day, and a record of all you actually ate during the day. This helps checkmate your progress.
During this, you can try substituting carbonated drinks for lemon water, it has so many health benefits. My main reason for including it is that it helps tame the appetite, and helps you drive know more water.
